1. Overview & Commitment
At Simplify Apps Studio, we believe you should have complete ownership and control over your personal journal, memories, and account data.
In compliance with Google Play Store Account Deletion Requirements, Apple App Store Review Guidelines, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), we provide transparent mechanisms for you to request the permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.
2. In-App Account Deletion (Instant & Automated)
You can delete your account and all associated data directly inside the App without needing to contact customer support.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Open the Daily Journal & Wisdom: WiseOn app on your mobile device.
- Navigate to Settings (tap the ⚙️ icon on the main screen or journal page).
- Scroll down to the Account section.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation dialog and tap Confirm Delete.
- (Security Step) If required by Firebase Authentication security rules (e.g., if you haven't logged in recently), you may be prompted to quickly re-authenticate with Google, Apple, or your credentials.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account In-App:
- Firebase Authentication Record: Your user account profile and UID are permanently erased from Firebase Authentication servers.
- Cloud Database & Journal Entries: All Firestore user documents, journal entries, scrapbook pages, text notes, mood tags, and drawings associated with your UID are permanently deleted.
- Uploaded Media & Photos: Photos and custom stickers stored in Firebase Cloud Storage are permanently removed.
- Authentication Sessions: Your Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple active tokens are revoked and cleared from local device storage.
3. In-App Memory Wiping (Wipe Data Only)
If you wish to clear all your journal entries, doodles, and scrapbook pages without deleting your account credentials, you can use our built-in Memory Wipe feature:
- Open WiseOn and go to Settings.
- Scroll to Memory Management.
- Tap Wipe Journal Data.
- Confirm your choice when prompted.
This permanently erases all local and cloud journal pages, drawings, and photos while keeping your user account active.
4. Web & Email Request Process (External Deletion Request)
If you no longer have the WiseOn app installed on your device, have lost access to your device, or prefer to submit a request via email, you can submit a manual account deletion request.

Account Deletion Request - WiseOn - Information to Include in the Body:1. The registered email address associated with your WiseOn account (or your Google/Apple Sign-In email).2. A brief statement requesting the permanent deletion of your account and all stored data.
Request Processing Timeline:
- Response & Verification: We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 48 hours.
- Data Deletion Completion: All account records and cloud data will be permanently purged within 30 calendar days. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion process is complete.
5. Types of Data That Will Be Permanently Deleted
When your account deletion request is executed, the following data points are permanently destroyed and cannot be recovered:

| Local App Cache | Local database records, cached themes, and preference keys stored on your device. |
6. Data That May Be Retained (Exceptions)
For legitimate operational, legal, and financial auditing reasons, certain non-identifying records may be retained:
- Financial & Purchase Records: In-app purchase transaction logs, subscription receipt IDs, and transaction timestamps managed by Google Play Billing / Apple App Store are retained as required by tax and financial auditing laws.
- Anonymized Technical Analytics: Aggregated, non-personally identifiable crash metrics and anonymized telemetry logs (which cannot be linked back to your identity or individual user ID) may be retained for stability monitoring.
